Location was a little out of the main town (20 mins by taxi) but closer to the smaller town (10 mins by taxi) with assortment of shops shops & restaurants. Resort was. very quiet and away from the night life in town.We enjoyed the spacious room with a sea view balcony and the room was clean and air conditioned. Showers, beds were very comfortable. The resort has two main zones and a golf buggy to take you to either side (or a short walk) when required.The beach side resort has an enormous salt water pool complex suitable for kids and adults.Leading on from this pool you can step onto the beach which was quit shallow for quite a way out making for easy splashing in the surf.The other accommodation side has an indoor and outdoor pool and well equiped gym.We arrived in the off season so only one restaurant was open most of our stay - the food was of a high standard with great breakfast.Unfortunately the only bar open during our stay was the cigar bar with frequent smokers making it impossible to enjoy a quiet cocktail most of the time.Overall the stay was very nice and the staff are exceedingly friendly & helpful which made our stay all the better

I feel disappointed with this hotel. They don't take care of it số it looks tired. Swimming pool has strong chemicals smell. Staff are not smiling and look sleepy. All service are super slow. I will not return here. However i recommend FLC HALONG. It is much better

Sub-par and mundane. That’s the perfect word to sum up my 2-night and 3-day experience here, during the beginning of tourist season no less. On the outside, the hotel looks huge and kinda glamorous, which is comforting. The disappointment comes when you walk inside how barren this place is. Food: I only had lunch and breakfast buffet. They are practically the same food, very little different. None of the food is of restaurant-quality. It tastes cheap and feels cheap. Service: I gave service 4/5 star because the staff is kind and helpful. There isn’t any exceptional, but no real flaw either. The gym and swimming pool on the third floor are nice, it can be crowded but that isn’t something they can control. Vibe: I expected more from a hotel that claims to be 5-star. It got the outside look of but there is not much to do here. It is too spacious for its own good, the decoration is mundane, a bit soulless. You barely see any paintings, the plants and vases are vain, like they are checking boxes on the list of decorations. Let me be clear: this is NOT a bad hotel. It is merely disappointing for a 5-star one. 3 or 4-star may be more fitting.

The hotel lobby is spacious, well-decorated. Beautiful view of the swimming pool and the river. Private beach which is very nice as well. The pool is great also. You can use electric car to move from the hotel to the beach in front. But can’t use it outside of the resort. 😅 One more thing made me not satisfied about the hotel is the staff. The reception is not friendly at all.

I would like to share my impressions from my vacation at FLC Resort Luxury Samson (also it called Beach and Golf resort).|We stayed there in the middle of November, 6 nights from November 17 to 23, 2024, in a deluxe room with an ocean view.| As it turned out it was low season in the town of Chamchon and at the resort itself, there were almost no tourists. Hotel manager Mr. Hop said that in summer the resort is crowded. My special thanks to Mr. Hop for his attention and help! |I was surprised by the low ratings of the resort on booking and other sites, because we had just an unforgettable vacation, the most real luxury from the beginning to the last minutes.|I have read many reviews that the staff does not understand English well. Indeed not all staff speak perfect English, but nowadays google translate solves this problem in seconds. There is excellent wi-fi all over the hotel, I had no problems watching movies or having meetings online.|We stayed with my daughter in an ocean view deluxe room with a private pool and it is truly an unforgettable experience. The ocean is beautiful and the lush very well maintained plants around the houses and along the beach are pleasing to the eye and create shade. For relaxation lovers, this is the best choice because the noise of the ocean makes you forget everything. |I saw complaints in other reviews that there is no beach and there is only a concrete wall. That's not really the case. I think that what FLC Samson has done is brilliant, because on the border of the land and the beach there is a concrete fence with poured stones, which prevents the ocean from eroding the shore and the shore remains very green, there are palm trees and conifer plants, and you can go down to the beach by numerous stairs. The regular beach starts outside the resort borders in the town, it's a 5 minute walk.|I was impressed by the variety and quality of dishes at breakfast, even despite the small load of the hotel every morning was a large set of different dishes, necessarily Asian cuisine, amazing fresh fruit, lots of vegetables and greens. We are not meat lovers, so we did not suffer, but those who need to beef up with meat in the morning, there are several types of cuts, fried bacon, rolls with pork, etc.|The room was cleaned every day, put in pods for the coffee machine and water, changed towels, cleaned the floor.|A special admiration for me was the attitude of the staff. Any question was solved very quickly, politely and kindly! Nowhere else have I felt so accepted and welcomed! A couple of times the staff could not understand me in the restaurant and then they called someone who knew English better and we easily explained ourselves. I was impressed by the desire to help the guests in this hotel.|We went to the spa several times and I can say that the skill of the different masseuses was just excellent, I am a very sophisticated person and my requests for a master are usually very high, but here I fell asleep every time, which for me is an indicator of very good technique.|About the temperature. Since we were in low season, the temperature was from +26 to 30 degrees Celsius, at night warm +23-34, there was a steady wind along the coast, we did not catch rain. The ocean in our opinion is very warm, we did not swim, only wet our feet because there were waves. For us the temperature of both air and water was just perfect, it wasn't sweltering or too hot. We got warm, but we didn't burn. |Also, I saw before arriving a lot of comments from travelers that the hotel needs updating and renovation. Indeed, in some places you can see that the plaster is falling off the buildings or the paint is faded, but I am surprised by the bias of travelers, because after all, the hotel is in a tropical climate, where there are heavy rains and humidity is very high, which will inevitably lead to the fact that the materials will wear out. I was satisfied with everything and sun beds, and the furnishings of the room and very beautiful interior of the whole hotel. Every day we saw workers tending the pools, repairing empty villas, sweeping the beach, etc.|I would also like to say that this resort is a huge complex that combines 3 hotels, a golf field and a lot of private 2-3 storey villas, all this is under guard, at the entrance to the complex there is a guard, so there is a sense of security. |Walking around we found a beautiful Buddhist temple overlooking the Ocean at the end of the resort next to the golf field, it is a place of peace and solitude, very peaceful. |Also in the main hotel building there is a large gym with all sorts of fitness equipment, the complex has 3 pools and they are very nice and huge! |The restaurant in the main building does not have a very rich menu, but what we ordered was exceptionally well prepared and very nicely served.|We took a cab to the supermarket in town a couple of times and bought some groceries and fruit to eat in the room. There is a kettle and microwave in the room, very convenient, quite possible to prepare a snack.|To summarize, I 100% recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy true Vietnamese hospitality and gorgeous views, delicious food and incredible ocean.

Excellent service and superb location! Beachfront access, private access to the beach… can’t complain! Friendly and very accommodating staff from the front desk, room cleaners, restaurant staff, electric car drivers, security guards etc… all requests were attended timely. Very pleased with the service from FLC Sam Son Beach Resort!||The villa is spacious for 4 people, great view from both bedrooms as well as kitchen and sitting room. However, it is dated and needs to be renovated to maintain the 5-star status. The restaurant turned off air-cond to save money. Not much variety on the menu. Breakfast was ok.
