I had booked with Genuis MarQ in district 1. When we arrived, had no host to contact and other guests in the same situation. After many hours, I finally got a hold of the host and they did a bait-and-switch with me to a near by hotel. Which not not closed to what was expected. The facility they switched us to was moldy, dirty and gave me rash and got me sick. Caution for Scam. Show more

My stay at The MarQ in District 1 was one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had, and I strongly warn anyone considering this property. The host, Trang, created an absolutely unacceptable situation. After we had already paid through Airbnb for a short stay, she sent her property manager to our door at 1:00 a.m., waking us up and demanding we leave the unit immediately unless we agreed to pay an additional $250 per night on the spot. It felt intimidating and completely unprofessional. We were essentially pressured and threatened in the middle of the night over a fee that was never disclosed beforehand.

This behavior made us feel unsafe, disrespected, and blindsided. The experience ruined our stay, and I would never book with this host again. If you’re looking for a place with honest communication, reliability, and basic respect for guests, avoid this listing and this host. There are plenty of other options in District 1 that won’t treat you this way. Show more

Cancelled on me the day before.

I had a terrible experience at MarQ in Ho Chi Minh. They didn’t provide the correct room upon arrival and also took our full deposit plus the booking fee even though we didn’t stay with them. Their service is horrible, and the staff is very unfriendly. They had to call the landlord over 10 times, but she never answered. Instead, she delayed the process and kept all our deposit and the original hotel fee. Avoid this place at all costs. Show more
