The sales agent did not inform me in advance about the level of noise from both inside the building and the surrounding area.
Starting as early as 9:00 a.m., multiple units undergo renovation simultaneously, involving continuous drilling, hammering, and other heavy construction noise. In addition,
my next door neighbor routinely keep their corridor doors open, resulting in persistent noise from loud music, karaoke, party, as well as strong cooking odors spreading into the common hallway. This is particularly concerning because these corridors are fire-rated escape routes, required to remain closed at all times except when opened for their intended use in order to comply with fire safety regulations.
I have raised this issue with building management. However, I understand addressing tenants’ daily habits requires direct confrontation, which places unnecessary pressure on residents and creates avoidable tension within the building.
Furthermore, from around 8 p.m. until 2 a.m., amplified music from multiple bars and clubs on the adjacent street is clearly audible inside the unit every night without interruption. The noise level is severe enough that I must use both earplugs and noise-canceling headphones to rest. Even then, this setup significantly interferes with normal communication with my partner, as we share the unit.
Also, I have repeatedly had to endure heavy bass and loud music from my neighbor, often continuing until 3–4 AM. The front desk is not available at that time, and so far management has not been able to resolve the issue effectively. Although someone comes to remind them when I complain, the problem continues and has not improved.
This situation is unpleasantly upsetting and makes it impossible to sleep at night.
If noise is not a concern for a prospective tenant, the property may be suitable. However, for anyone expecting a quiet and livable residential environment, this issue should be clearly disclosed in advance.
