Blooming Tower Apartments Da Nang

Blooming Tower is a nice place to live, apartments are a nice size, affordable, and it is a quite neighborhood with an awesome view. However if you stay you will have to get use to Russian, Chinese, and Korean smoking in the building. Walk out your front door and all you smell is cigarettes. Don't bother saying anything does no good. They lie.. there are signs that say smoke free building, but allow people to smoke in the building.They smoke at the front door the security guard sets at his desk in the entrance and smokes.. The pool isn't kept up there is no gym really there is nothing.. oh a small mart to buy things.. we live here because we do have a really nice apartment with a beautiful view. Показать ещё

Church noise has got worse and worse, it's terrible! Always blasting music way too loudly for all to hear. DO NOT take an apartment on the church side. Maybe you can hear it from all sides though.

If you think it will be a quiet place to live, maybe think again! Building itself is ok except elevators never all work, quite noisy between apartments and drainage in shower is bad. UPDATE: elevators working better lately. Neighbour noise has been fine, walls could be thicker but just normal for apartments I guess.

Lately CONSTANT loud work going on in the building, clearly it must be far from finished or just has too many problems!

Receptionist lady is great and helpful. But living here is terrible because 5am a group of people come every day and make loads of noise right outside the building doing exercise with loud music etc. No consideration for the residents. Also the church right next door also regularly makes noise of course.

Location and views are nice. Not near much (shops etc) but the city centre is still not that far away for a taxi/bike ride.

Update:

I think building is cleaned better now. Swimming pool could be cleaned more I think. Lifts working more reliably at the moment, but do seem prone to having issues and it takes too long to fix them sometimes. Sometimes bad wind can affect the lifts, not good!

Also I only don't get woke up from the locals exercising outside with music if I sleep with ear buds in. If not they definitely wake me at 5am. Показать ещё

Good

Lived here 2 years and counting.

Positives:
- The value (though this is starting to increase to ridiculous levels but that's happening in the whole of Danang unfortunately) and size of the apartments is good and I love the view and the area is nice for walking or exercising.
- Small shop is decent, considering the lack of shops nearby (the lack of shops may be an issue for some).
- Building staff are good and most of the security guards are very friendly, I love how they look after the stray animals in the neighborhood ❤️
- there were issues with the pool but these are now fixed (read the end to see what happened with the pool).

Negatives:
- You have to stay on top of unclogging the shower as drainage can be an issue.
- Make sure you have a filter on your shower; this is a whole of Vietnam issue because of local plumbing but the building have tried to improve the dirt in the water.
- Communication can sometimes be an issue with the building e.g. last minute messages on power cuts or building works.
- There have been a lot of things that the building have had to do to comply with government laws, as these were not checked before they opened the building to residents, which have been a bit annoying over our 2 years here e.g. drilling outside our apartment from 8am-whole day; needing access to our apartment multiple times to change the fire alarms/sprinklers etc. hopefully this should be finished soon 🥲
- Lifts are better now (a year ago they were constantly not working) but sometimes there are still issues when it's windy the doors don't shut, this draft also impacts the noise in your apartment as well (honestly it can be so loud in the apartment when it's windy, you need a draft blocker for your door).
- not the best sound insulation for inside noise (neighbours) or outside noise e.g. loud bikes, sometimes there are events at the church, like funerals at 5am with blaring music or events during holidays in the evening/karaoke, or there is an exercise group that are outside at 5/6am that blare music (so just be careful which side you get an apartment 😅). Tbh the poor insulation with neighbours can also mean if your neighbours smoke you can smell their cigarette smoke in your apartment too.
- Check how long your apartment has been vacant for before moving in because we had a huge problem with cockroaches and ants (still have an ant problem) when we moved in. I killed about 50+ cockroaches and thousands of ants when I moved in 🥲
- I had to complain about not really seeing the building getting cleaned e.g. I had dirt outside my door for a month. They are better with cleaning the hallways/common now but it would be nice to see windows being cleaned, as I don't think these have been done since they were installed.
- the gym is almost non-exsistent and it would be nicer if they did a full clean of the pool to get rid of the dirt that has built up at the bottom.

Swimming pool issues:
Last year, I starting using the pool 3-5 times a week for months and months. Over this time, I had to request for the pool to be cleaned because it didn't seem like it was being cleaned and I began to develop a severe skin condition all over (severe dry skin, cracked, peeling and bleeding). I bought a PH tester and worked closely with the building, as unfortunately they had been testing the PH of the water incorrectly. We established that the colour of their test should be orange for a healthy PH.

Update: after testing the water again, I can confirm that the PH of the pool is a healthy 7.2 and it is now safe to swim in. Показать ещё

All year around with nonstop noises in floor 31.

We lived here for almost a year and a half. During our stay, many unpleasant situations accumulated, and recently they asked 30% rent increase, so we decided to move. Below, I will describe all the pros and cons so you know what to expect.

Pros:
1) lots of light and space, comfortable enough for two remote workplaces and a living area
2) beautiful view
3) helpful lady at the reception
4) normal bath

Cons:
1) Church under the windows, which rings every day at 4:30 a.m. and at 5:00 p.m. It is impossible to sleep, the sound comes even through tightly closed windows. Oh, and on holidays they turn on loud music, sing and play the violin out of tune. Christmas was hell.

2) Many problems during typhoon season. A very strong wind noise is heard in the whole building, and a draft prevents the elevators from closing, so it constantly breaks down.

3) During rainy days the wall in the bedroom gets completely wet, and the management can't do anything until the rain stops. Sometimes it takes weeks. In dry weather, they tried to seal the wall from the outside, but the problem persisted in all apartments with number xx05.

4) A terrible stench from the sewer.  One bathroom constantly smells of smoke from the neighbors, another has a disgusting stench that doesn't go away even after using a drain cleaner.

5) No facilities. Instead of a gym, there's a shabby room with a couple of dumbbells. The pool is unkempt. The first floor of the building has been empty since construction; no cafes or normal shops. Nothing has been updated since we moved in.

6) There's a delivery area downstairs, and several times our things have been stolen before we could get down. When we asked to check the cameras, they told that they couldn't see anything, although it was possible to check who approached the elevator with our delivery at that time.

7) The entrance to the building is not obvious, which is why grab drivers are constantly confused.

8) It's terribly far from everything, there are no shops within walking distance. In addition to the high rent, you'll have to overpay for taxis and deliveries.

9) There's mold inside a kitchen pipe and in the bathroom wall that can't be removed. This year I started having problems with my lungs, and I think the reason is that I constantly wash dishes there and breathe it in.

10) When drawing up the contract, they made several mistakes in the numbers and quantities of furniture. If we hadn't checked everything carefully, we could have lost our deposit when we moved out because the specified items simply didn't exist.

Think carefully before choosing these apartments. Does it cost 20-30 mln vnd per month? We found a better option for lower price and already moved in. No regrets. Показать ещё

Important note for future residents

The building itself may look fine, but there is a serious issue with night-time noise from motorbikes, especially coming from Thuan Phuoc Bridge nearby.

Several nights in a row, extremely loud motorcycles ride at high speed late at night. The low-frequency noise travels very far and cannot be blocked by earplugs, music, or white noise.

This makes it impossible to sleep and has a real impact on health: sleep deprivation, anxiety, heart palpitations, weakened immune system.

If you are sensitive to noise or value good sleep, this is something you should seriously consider before choosing this building. Показать ещё
