Luxury Apartment Adjacent Sheraton Four Points Da Nang

I have stayed in this hotel a few times when I travel for business and no problem checking in until last week. When the front desk lady asked for my Vietnam Visa I told her I didnt use visa but APEC card and also show her the immigration stamp. She asked to see the APEC card and after looking at it for awhile it seems she hasn't start to process my check in. I asked her what is wrong and she said it is new policy we must present vietnam visa in order to check in, and she cannot because she has never seen the APEC card before. I asked to speak with the manager but she said manager is on leave and other senior acting managers are with other customers. After waiting for long time I asked for update and lady said they need to call and ask Police. and no progress made I asked them to cancel my booking without charges. told them they are calling the wrong department to check, they should either Google it or call Immigration to check. this gave me indication that they do not have common sense or skill sets to handle so I ask for booking cancelation and I immediately look for another hotel for my stay in Da Nang. this was quite disappointing as Sheration is an international brand but implement policy without adequate training. what further surprised me was my co-worker later check into the hotel and he was not even asked to present his Vietnam Visa. will not stay here again. I had a wonderful stay at Four Points by Sheraton Danang. The room was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. I really appreciated the thoughtful baby amenities, especially the baby toothbrush set provided for my child.

A special thanks to Mr. Alfie for the excellent check-in experience — he was very professional, warm, and helpful. Ms. Mai (FOM) was also very nice and supportive throughout my stay.

Their service is not very good when it comes to replying to messages and emails, especially for a 5-star resort.

excellent service, nice private 🏖️. but a bit slowly VAT tax invoice. and do not take room at ground floor that could be nonstop noisy steps over night time

Hotel is quite big with very big pool. But property seems to be quite outdated. Had kids water park area but it was very sad, very little water was coming out of most things in water park. ||Food options are very limited especially if you are vegetarian. ||Being Marriott ambassador, they upgraded us to a suite next day which was very good and spacious. ||Staff were very courteous. ||Seems like hotel is more popular for corporate offsites. ||It was near to Marble mountain but we found that Marriott resort was very close to Marble mountain. ||Kids play area also need to improve a lot with better kids activities. They should be grateful this hotel isn’t operating in the United States. This incident was serious enough to warrant an astronomical lawsuit, yet their response was incredibly pathetic.

I was trying to get out of a kayak when my swimsuit bottoms got caught on a bolt embedded in the kayak, leaving me dangling and submerged in the water. One of my legs was completely trapped, making it impossible to get down. If the water had been just a little deeper, I could have drowned. I took photos of my bruised leg, the torn swimsuit, and the kayak, and went to the reception. They apologized but claimed they couldn't help because the swimsuit was already torn and couldn't be repaired (I literally showed them the receipt; it was a full-price item bought in the U.S. for nearly $100). Instead, they offered a late checkout and an airport ride service that I didn't even need (even if you call a 7-seater taxi, it only costs around 150k to 200k VND). My swimsuit alone is worth about 2.5 million VND (bought at Lululemon in the United States), but when I demanded compensation for it, they refused. I stopped arguing as they seemed to be determined, and I didn't want to be considered as a complaining customer. Furthermore, they promised to take action to prevent this from happening again, yet that exact same kayak was being used without a care for the next two days. No further responses were made regarding this during the stay.

During this trip, I stayed at 5-star hotels in Hanoi and Da Nang for about 25 days. Meliá Hanoi had the absolute best hospitality (a cockroach appeared in my room and I only asked for a room change, but they upgraded my room the next day, sent an apology letter, and even provided fruits and premium chocolates). Here, nothing except for the late checkout and a transportation service I did not ask for. The staff at hotels in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Hoi A Memories always greet you when they pass by, but the staff here literally ignore you and don't even greet you. Show more

Grand luxury hotel, friendly staff, excellent food and an amazing huge 250m long pool. Loved the spacious room, with large king bed, great view of pool and sea. Food was good in all three restaurants and in the lobby bar. Delicious snacks at pool bar, very good pizza. Good breakfast, although literally exactly the same dishes every day (no variety at all).||Location is quiet and a bit remote but closer to Hoi An (we loved Hoi An at nighttime). No good supermarkets or restaurants outside the hotel. I looked at the map before I booked and it seemed to have many around but they ended up being tiny local places (felt literally like inside the homes) - not to be disrespectful to the locals making a living but not my thing.||Minor things: not much shade to hide from the hot sun - they even decided to build glass roofs over the walkways (!), making it a hot journey from the room to the beach area. Also, construction of 3 ugly looking apartment buildings right across from the hotel - eyesore and noise (not blaming the hotel of course). Show more

It is a large resort with a giant pool and on the beach, but there are some down-sides. Unfriendly customer service from staff, making me think the local manager running the show has an attitude problem and has set a bad tone for his workers. Also, oddly few guests, giving it a ghost town feel.
