Greetings everyone! Recently we've moved to an apartment in a newly-built tower building. The owners are a lovely couple, Vietnamese local citizens. They've bought this flat not long ago and I'm their first tenant. No wonder they aren't informed on the subject thoroughly enough, plus they don't spea…

Greetings! I’m renting a 1-bedroom flat on the 8th floor of a newly-built 2018 building, which is not the cheapest one on the market. I've heard that in Vietnam foreign citizens can buy real estate but can't rent it. Is it true?? Because it's exactly what I was planning to do... so disappointing! I asked a real estate agent for advice and he said it's just a rumor, but we didn't go into details, so I'm not sure what exactly the la…

Hey everyone! So I'm in the process of purchasing a property, still need to sign a sales and purchase contract. The issue is with the pink book. The seller says that the owner certificate is going to be ready in 6 up to 12 months. Why so long? Is it a normal practice in Vietnam? It's kinda risky to…

1) Properties are expensive*everywhere in Vietnam globally. If your basis for a property crash is imply how unaffordable it is for the working class, then there are probably 10-20 cities that will crash in much more spectacular fashion way before HCMC.
